The Youth Empowerment & Sustainability Summit (YESS!) is a global climate solution and leadership summit for young people who are ready to change their lives and their communities by working towards climate resilience. The three-day event is designed to empower students from middle school through college by teaching them to develop solutions-based thinking and civic engagement skills. YESS! will be held in the heart of the Hudson Valley at the historic Ashokan Center with an opening keynote by Dr. James Hansen, renowned Columbia University climatologist and former Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies. Dr. Hansen will also offer a talk at Kingston Highschool on Thursday, February 6th at 7 PM that is open to the public.
