SPANISH TEACHER

Position Description

Woodstock Day School is a progressive, independent day school located on a breathtaking 40-acre campus in the Catskill Mountains. Our mission is to provide a socially and environmentally mindful education from Nursery School - 12th Grade, valuing each student as an individual and as a member of the community. We have a position for a part time/full time Spanish Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.

Learning Specialist

Position Description

We have a position for a part time/full time Learning Specialist for the 2017-2018 school year.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
  • At least three years of experience as a learning specialist or in a related role
  • Familiarity with laws related to IEPs and 504 plans
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, admin, and parents
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Positive attitude, flexible approach, and a sense of humor

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Position Description

Woodstock Day School actively seeks substitute teachers for the 2016-2017 school year. Substitute teachers work at the school for a daily rate of $85.  Substitute teaching at the Day School is an excellent way to build teaching credentials and experience. Many of our former subs are now employed at WDS in a full-time teaching capacity.

 

Requirements

Experience working with children in a childcare setting, or as a student teacher. Reliability, a sense of humor, patience, and interest in child-centered teaching are essential qualities for success on our campus.
